I have a whole world in my head, which is not something you hear every day. Having an overactive imagination is a big part of my personality, I just didn’t know it would one day lead to a mental illness. Maladaptive Daydreaming is a rarely spoken about condition that leads to excessive daydreaming. For 11 years I’ve dealt with this condition alone, but in my head, I’ve been surrounded by people. I wanted to use this opportunity to explore this state, and to bring awareness to it. My aim is to show the personalities of each of the characters I’ve created – I didn’t want it to be about me, it’s about them.
